Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Children’s Centre Team Leader to work full time based in a Children’s home in Haringey.

The salary for this permanent Team Leader job is up to £40,614

Main Duties:

  • Manage the referral and admission of young people into the centre
  • Allocate work and review the cases ensuring that statutory requirements, departmental policy and Ofsted standards, and administrative procedures are followed
  • Build and supervise a dynamic team of people to effectively manage and respond to this change
  • This includes assisting the induction and training of new staff as well as supervising and performance monitoring
  • Assisting the Deputy Home Manager and Registered Manager in organising and managing a group of staff working the Children’s home
  • Assisting with managing all administration relating to the home, ensuring all paperwork is to a high standard
  • Attend and participate in all meetings and training as required including supervising, appraisals, team meetings and young people review
  • Working with the young people, their family where appropriate and staff, to plan and implement individual plans
  • Taking into account the needs, choices and wishes of the young people in the creation of the plan to promote independence and reaching full potential
  • Review and evaluate plans regularly and amend as appropriate
  • Ensure that young people and their families are appropriately informed and involved about aspects of their life within the home and local community
  • Support young people through the transition process and assist them ito settle in their new homes
  • Assess their skills and needs as appropriate following a referral

Requirements of this job:

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care NVQ or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality care standards, Children Act 1989, and revised Children’s Home Regulation 2015
  • Experience of leading and inspiring a staff team
  • Ability to show leadership skills
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
