Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Registered Children’s Manager to work full time based in a Children’s home in Medway.

The salary for this permanent Registered Manager job is up to £53,437 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Develop a culture within the home, where children are central to the decision-making process, where their views are encouraged, and their wishes and feelings always considered
  • Encourage children to make measurable progress in attaining their individual academic potential. Create an environment that is ambitious for the children
  • Actively, promote the homes ethos ensuring that the home, and the services it provides, is understood, well known and respected
  • Be mindful of change in the requirements of provision for placements and evolve to meet those needs effectively
  • Mange the home to the highest professional standards and within the agreed budget
  • Consistently ensure that the safety and well-being of each child is at the heart of everyday practice in the home
  • Always aim to exceed the quality standards for children’s homes
  • Establish excellent working relationships with professionals with a common interest in the child
  • To behave in a manner which reflects and is complimentary to the ideals, goals, and expectations of the local authority
  • To ensure that the staff team understand their roles, responsibilities, and expectations of the local authority

Requirements of this job:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience working within Children’s residential care
  • Ability to show leadership skills
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
