Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a full-time Registered Manager based in a Residential home in Bexley.

The salary for this permanent Registered Manager role is £65,000.

Main Duties:

  • Oak Nest Children’s Homes are recruiting a Registered Manager to be part of the registration process and help establish and manage our first home, a 3 / 4 bed home for young people aged 8 – 17 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH) including those with mild Learning Disabilities (MLD), in the DA8 area of Erith (London Borough of Bexley / Kent borders). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of these young individuals
  • We are looking for a strong leader who can demonstrate successful previous achievements in an Ofsted-rated Good or Outstanding children’s home
  • You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the highest quality of care and support. Your experience will ideally come with Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent or a full commitment to complete the qualification (financial support will be provided for this)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the leadership team to drive successful registration with Ofsted including significant input into recruitment, systems, and policies & procedures
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the home
  • Provide leadership and supervision to your team
  • Develop and implement high quality care plans and risk assessments to keep our children safe and happy
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted and Local Authority requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent organisational skills to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the home
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to supervise and train staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Significant experience working within a similar setting and managing Ofsted inspections
  • Have preferably already obtained the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or are committed to achieving the qualification (financial support will be provided)
  • Ideally, hold a full UK driving license
  • Passion and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people
