Sanctuary Personnel seeking a Superintendent Radiographer to lead our client's MRI team at a prestigious private hospital dedicated to the healthcare of women and children. The hospital, renowned for its commitment to quality care, is currently rated "Good" by the CQC.

The successful candidate will take on a direct line management role, overseeing other modalities or the entire Radiology department when necessary. Additionally, they will collaborate with Imaging Management to plan and develop services, aligning with the hospital's overarching goals and values.

The hospital, exclusive in its focus on women's and children's health, delivers over 1,600 babies annually, offering both consultant-led and midwife-led maternity care. With a dedicated team and emphasis on privacy and dignity, they ensure comprehensive support throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond.

Shift Pattern: 

  • Full time, 37.5 hours per week
  • 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 am and 20:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the MRI department, leading a team of Senior MRI Radiographers.
  • Maintain a high standard of MRI services, particularly in Paediatric & Adult imaging.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists and Consultants to establish policies and protocols for MRI imaging and patient pathways.
  • Manage department finances and staffing to meet budgetary and KPI targets.
  • Coordinate weekly MRI lists under General Anaesthetic, taking the lead in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Act as Management Deputy in their absence.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality in line with professional standards and organisational policies.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration.
  • Extensive MRI experience.
  • Previous experience in a Superintendent/Lead Radiographer role.
  • Strong grasp of clinical governance and MRI-related protocols.
  • Desirable experience in Cardiac scanning and scanning Paediatric patients.
  • Familiarity with PACS and RIS software, and experience in GA MRI.
