The Role

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our client's esteemed service at a 24-bed unit in Llanelli, Wales, specialising in rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injuries.

As part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Support Workers, you will utilise the neurobehavioural model to deliver person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation. Their unique, community-based inpatient setting is led by a consultant neuropsychologist, and addresses a wide range of complex needs, including cognitive, behavioural, physical, and emotional difficulties following brain injury.

You will have the opportunity to work holistically with service users, aiding their recovery and helping them regain maximal independence, including participation in social, leisure, and vocational activities. They offer specialist training, supervision from the Clinical Lead OT, and numerous development opportunities. You will also be encouraged to participate in service development and research.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A diploma or degree in occupational therapy and registration with the HCPC
  • Experience in neurological rehabilitation and the ability to work independently
  • Strong prioritisation and caseload management skills
  • Excellent communication and report writing abilities
  • Competence in formulating complex risk assessments
  • Experience in supervising and training others
  • A valid UK driving licence
