As an Occupational Therapist within their team, you'll play a crucial role in their neurobehavioural model, collaborating with multi-disciplinary professionals, families, and the individuals we support. Your responsibilities will include:

Clinical / Professional Practice:

  • Work autonomously within a specialised clinical setting, under the guidance of senior OTs.
  • Manage and prioritise a caseload of individuals with complex mental/physical health needs.
  • Utilise evidence-based and user-centred principles to assess, formulate treatment plans, implement interventions, and evaluate progress.
  • Address occupational performance and skill deficits across various life domains.
  • Develop care programmes, delegate tasks appropriately, and ensure effective communication within the team.
  • Engage with individuals and families resistant to the rehabilitation process with empathy and interpersonal skills.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure regular review and updates.

Leadership:

  • Manage designated workload, identify priorities, and utilise resources effectively.
  • Support the professional development of colleagues and maintain health, safety, and security standards.
  • Understand and navigate the political and economic landscape affecting service delivery.
  • Promote the profession and foster partnerships across organisations and agencies.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and quality initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Previous UK occupational therapy experience
