Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Luton
Salary: £38,360 - £44,700 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week over 5 days (8am-4pm) This is Flexible.

About Our Client:

Our client is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Their assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. They treat people with a range of brain injuries – sustained through trauma, illness, substance abuse and more – to recover and meet their personal goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assessment of service user needs and to develop an appropriate person centred treatment programme to meet individual needs
  • To promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice reviewing and making suggestions to enhance the service user experience and enabling concerns and complaints to be raised freely by service users and their representatives
  • To liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy
  • To ensure appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources
  • To ensure that up to date written and electronic records are maintained in accordance with Professional and Charity standards, and that sensitive information is held securely
  • Responsible to share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching

About You

  • Diploma / BSC (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
  • Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Knowledge and application of OT assessments and interventions using clinical reasoning
  • An ability to work autonomously and to set own and support others’ priorities
  • An ability to confidently assess and manage risk in relation to occupational performance
