The salary for this permanent Staff Nurse job is £36,899 - £47,590 per annum.
Duties:
- Practice clinically as a member of the nursing and multi-professional team within the Day Patient Unit
- Contributing to the evaluation of effectiveness of planning and delivery of services and to be proactive in maintaining quality, service improvement, and patient flow in a safe and comfortable environment
- Be responsible to the Theatre manager and Lead Nurse for Surgery and will be accountable to the Head of Acute Hospital Services
- Close working relationships are also required with the Theatre Team
Requirements of the Staff Nurse:
- Demonstrate safe clinical care of patients undergoing procedures
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of research and evidence based practice and actively promote this within the team
- Practising as a nurse or midwife are required to have effective registration with the (UK) Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Previous experience in a Day Surgery/Endoscopy setting
