Job Title: Lead Occupational Therapist
Location: Edgbaston
Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum

We are seeking a Lead Occupational Therapist to contribute to our diverse range of inpatient services, including acute care, psychiatric intensive care, eating disorder treatment, and private addiction services.

In this role, you will provide clinical, professional, and operational leadership within the Occupational Therapy (OT) service. Collaborating with the Therapy Services Manager, you'll ensure proactive and supportive OT services align with organisational objectives. Your responsibilities will involve delivering specialised OT assessment, treatment, and management while fostering integration among multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance with local and national standards and clinical governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Service Leads in OT, contributing to portfolio service responsibilities.
  • Develop, implement, and review local policies and procedures for OT services.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource on OT services for colleagues and external agencies.
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day OT service delivery, including clinical audits and research for service improvement.
  • Lead the OT team, ensuring adherence to standards and competency frameworks.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, and training activities for OT staff.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Previous UK Occupational Therapy experience
