Job Purpose:

Provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager.

Requirements of the Deputy Ward Manager:

  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as either a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Clinical supervision experience is essential, training is desirable.
  • Evidence of CPD and intent to maintain and develop CPD and leadership.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience in Acute Mental Health.
  • At Least 3 years, or equivalent post registration experience.
