Salary: £89,000 per annum (competitive, broadly equivalent to NHS 8c, depending on experience)

Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our client's Neuropsychology department. Role Overview:

Reporting to the Lead Neuropsychologist, the successful candidate will specialise in delivering high-quality neuropsychological assessment services to adult neurological patients, both outpatient and inpatient. Additionally, they will contribute to the development and delivery of outpatient neuropsychology therapeutic support services for neurological and neurosurgical outpatients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Neuropsychologist in delivering and developing a robust neuropsychological assessment service.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of outpatient neuropsychology therapeutic support services.

  • Provide expertise on neurological patient management to health professionals within the service and wider MDT.

  • Contribute to service planning and delivery, including data collection and evaluation.

  • Identify clinical research and audit priorities to drive clinical development strategy.

  • Collaborate on service improvement projects to enhance quality of care and patient outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and legal responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral standard training in Clinical Psychology.

  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.

  • Post-qualification training in Clinical Neuropsychology.

  • BPS Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (Desirable).

  • Extensive postgraduate experience in neuropsychological assessment and treatment.

  • Experience in supervision and service development.

  • Fluency in English, additional language skills desirable.

  • Proficient in effectively organising, prioritising, delegating tasks, and meeting deadlines.

  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting service audits, establishing quality standards, and managing risks pertaining to clinical effectiveness.

  • Proven track record in fostering a research-oriented culture.

  • Skilled in evaluating clinical practices, actively engaging in research, audits, and service evaluations.

  • Experienced in assessing capacity, navigating legal frameworks concerning patients lacking consent capacity, and assisting fellow caregivers in similar situations.

  • Familiarity with service development processes and implementation.

This role may require a DBS check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order.
