The salary for this permanent Principal Psychologist job is £70,000 per annum plus £6,000 welcome bonus!

Main Duties:

  • Ensuring the delivery and advancement of high-quality, innovative, and evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation practices.
  • Conducting specialised psychological assessments of service users using a variety of psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report scales, structured observations, and interviews.
  • Developing and implementing specialiSed psychological treatment plans for mental health and adjustment difficulties based on a comprehensive psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practices.
  • Providing expert psychological input to the multidisciplinary team in formulating appropriate therapeutic approaches or intervention plans, and overseeing their implementation.
  • Conducting psychologically based risk assessments and risk management for relevant service users, and providing appropriate guidance to team members.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings focused on the delivery and enhancement of clinical services.
  • Assisting Service Managers/Regional Managers in all aspects of service management and reporting to the Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist

Requirements of the Principal Psychologist:

  • Hold a doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent) accredited by the BPS. Proficiency in gathering, analysing, and interpreting complex multi-factorial clinical data is essential to effectively guide team efforts.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of addressing intricate and sensitive topics.
  • Candidates should possess strong organisational skills, adept at prioritizing tasks, administering and interpreting various psychometric tests, and demonstrate a history of conducting clinical research or audits.
  • Experienced in neurorehabilitation, with a keen interest in neuropsychology, and driven to further enhance our service.
