The Role:

Our client seeks a Principal Psychologist who seeks to expand their expertise by contributing to their esteemed service. In this role, you will provide strategic, professional leadership to their multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Your duties will encompass:

  • Ensuring the provision and advancement of high-calibre, innovative, evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation practices.
  • Conducting specialised psychological assessments of our service users, employing psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report scales, structured observations, and interviews; formulating and executing specialised psychological treatment plans for mental health and adjustment difficulties, grounded in a multifaceted psychological comprehension and contemporary evidence-based best practices.
  • Providing highly specialised psychological guidance in the multidisciplinary formulation of suitable therapeutic approaches or intervention plans, and overseeing their implementation.
  • Undertaking psychologically driven risk assessments and risk management for pertinent service users and providing appropriate guidance to team members.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings focused on the delivery and enhancement of clinical services.
  • Supporting Service Managers/Regional Managers in all aspects of service management and reporting to the Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist.

About You:

What Qualities Are We Seeking?

The ideal candidate will possess a doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent) accredited by the BPS. It is imperative that you can collate, analyse, and interpret intricate multi-factorial clinical information, directing team efforts effectively.

They seek an individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of addressing complex and emotive subjects. Superior organisational abilities, adept prioritisation of workloads, proficiency in administering and interpreting a range of psychometric tests, and a history of conducting clinical research or audits are essential.

They require a clinical psychologist with experience in neurorehabilitation, a keen interest in neuropsychology, and a drive to further enhance service excellence.
