Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Perinatal Community Mental Health Nurse (CPN) to work based in Lambeth.
The pay rate for this locum role is £27.01 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 1-month contract.
Shift Pattern:
9am-5pm weekdays.
No bank holidays.
Main Duties:
Work as an autonomous Perinatal Community Nurse with a defined caseload. Ensure the ongoing assessment of adults within the service and providing a range of needs-led interventions and care.
Work in consultation with other professionals and making known concerns regarding safeguarding children and adults to the appropriate and responsible services.
Aid the identification and treatment for the mental health needs of pregnant women and those with infants up to one year old.
Work in collaboration with both colleagues from generic psychiatric services and staff from other perinatal services.
Provide written information for all perinatal referrals received into the team to the referrers.
Requirements of the Perinatal Community Mental Health Nurse:
Valid NMC registration under Mental Health.
Previous experience working as a CPN, including experience of general inpatient, mother and baby inpatient unit, community mental health services of CAMHS.
Experience of working with women who suffer from moderate to severe mental illness in the perinatal period.
A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained).
Be familiar with Perinatal community standard, governance and performance structures, and confident in partnership work with other agencies such as Children and Family Social Services, Midwifery and Obstetric teams, CMHTS, Health visitors, and the voluntary sector.
Knowledge of EPJS, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft applications.
Knowledge of Perfect Ward (Audit) is desirable.
Available to start as soon as possible.
