Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse to fill a full-time role in Greenwich. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Substance Misuse Nurse role £25 per hour (assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To provide a range of community or hospital-based recovery-focused substance misuse service interventions in accordance with the agreed model of service delivery
- To undertake health and wellbeing assessments for alcohol or opiate service users, or users of other drugs, when indicated by clinical need, followed by a care plan or recommendations
- To ensure appropriate signposting to primary care or referral to appropriate secondary health care services for identified health issues, including mental health services, following health and wellbeing assessments
- To undertake community alcohol detoxification either at the service or at the service user's home
Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse:
- NMC registration
- Degree or equivalent in nursing (RGN or RMN)
- Must have experience working as a Substance Misuse Nurse
- At least 2 years' experience in substance misuse
