Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in a high-acuity healthcare environment located in London.
The successful candidate will work on a Monday - Sunday basis, covering both day and night shifts, including weekends. The shift patterns consist of a 6-week rota of 19 shifts, alternating between 08:00 am – 20:30 pm and 20:00 pm – 08:30 am.
Duties:
As a Staff Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients requiring level 2 and 3 care. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care under indirect supervision from senior staff. Additionally, you will coordinate patient care, recognise changes in patient condition, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will hold current nursing registration (First Level) with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and have demonstrable clinical experience in high-acuity critical care settings. Experience with invasive lines, mechanical ventilation, hemodialysis, and vasoactive intravenous medications is essential, along with completion of Step 1 Critical Care Competencies Course. This role may be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
