The salary for this permanent Specialist Physiotherapist job is £39,674.26 - £47,900.80 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • To be the clinical specialist for our new Physiotherapy Led - Minor Hand Surgery (CTS) service (or) Chronic Pain Service
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner with an advanced level of knowledge, skills and experience; to assess, diagnose and treat (complex) patients in individual and group settings
  • The post holder will provide clinical leadership for the service speciality
  • To plan deliver and evaluate Continual Professional Development (CPD), research activities and in-service training for all Physiotherapy staff
  • To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their professional and clinical work, working to agreed national and professional standards
  • To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi-pathologies using diagnostic and analytical skills in order to identify their problems and needs and ensure that patient’s medical, psychological, social environmental and cultural  factors are taken into account
  • To be a source of clinical expertise within the team and provide advice to other organisations as required
  • To give comprehensive information to seek patients understanding, co-operation, compliance and consent
  • Access clinical advice and support from peers within and outside of the organisation, as part of training and Continuing Professional Development.
  • To lead on development and implementation of evidence-based clinical protocols in conjunction with Service Lead.
  • To be competent in treating patients on an individual basis as well as in a group / class setting

Requirements of the Specialist Physiotherapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registered
  • Experience in MSK Physiotherapy
