Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Special Guardianship Orders (SGO) and Connected Persons Assessor to work full-time based in Newham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum SGO/Connected Persons job is £32 - £35 per hour (assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
As postholder of this role you will be expected to:
- Hold professional responsibility for a case load of statutory child care cases.
- Ensure that every child/young person has a smart plan that ensures review and evaluation of outcomes.
- Contribute to improving the resilience and independence of Newham's children, young people and their families.
- Ensure each child's personal record is maintained within the Social Work England required standards.
Requirements of the SGO/Connected Persons:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work registration
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Must be confident with viabilities, SGO assessments, reg 24s.
