Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within a Leaving Care 16+ Team based in Medway. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £36 per hour (Assignment rate) and this role is offering an initial 3-month contract.

Undergone a restructure of teams and a safeguarding team realignment which has shown positive results.
Reduced caseloads, Average of 20 children

About the role & team:
The leaving care team support young people aged 16 to 25 who have left the care of Medway Council but remain entitled to leaving care support. This includes support with housing applications, access to education, employment and benefits as well as emotional health and wellbeing.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
Degree or equivalent in social work.
Current Social Work England registration.
2+ years of post qualifying experience.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Proven track record in working with adolescents with complex needs.
Full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
