Sanctuary Personnel, a leading and award-winning recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work as a Senior Practitioner/Designated Safeguarding Lead based in Barking, within the Independent Day School Team.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £35-£38 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Take professional responsibility for managing a highly complex caseload.
- Fulfil the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) at both Primary and Secondary provisions.
- Hold specific responsibility for family liaison, partnership, and direct family work.
- Lead the coordination and delivery of multiagency assessment & care planning for those pupils who have Early Help, Child in Need & Child Protection Plans & those children who are Looked After.
- Assist Family Support Workers to support families, develop Action Plans with agreed targets and measure progress.
- Ensure a high standard of case recording, case report writing where appropriate, as well as attendance at statutory meetings.
- Ensure a range of risk assessments are undertaken for every pupil covering the following areas: individual risk assessments, educational activity risk assessments and venue risk assessments and ensure staff and pupils are suitably matched to minimize levels of risk.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Recent post qualification experience in frontline children’s social work.
