Job Purpose:
Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our client's Adult Mental Health Services team. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive assessment and protection service to the adult and children’s at-risk population in Jersey and their carers. You will play a crucial role in delivering day-to-day social work services, accessing and facilitating resources to manage risk, and meet identified needs.

Statutory Responsibilities:
- Compliance with relevant States Laws and legislation.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
- Adhering to data protection and mental health laws.
- Political restrictions apply.
Job Specific Outcomes:
- Plan, organise, and coordinate care for vulnerable individuals.
- Conduct holistic assessments and develop care plans.
- Advocate for service users’ rights and wishes.
- Provide clear communication to service users and carers.
- Act as a role model for junior staff and report any misconduct.
- Conduct risk assessments and access specialist advice.
- Maintain high standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Supervise junior team members and deputise for the Team Manager.
- Create and maintain accurate records in line with policies.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Recognised Social Work Qualification, Current Social Work England Registration
- 2 years of experience in mental health
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of all forms of Supervision
- Post-graduate training/awards
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working
- Experience in the Care Coordinator role
- Compliant with mandatory training requirements
- Ability to use IT systems and Electronic Records
- Evidences values pertaining to empathy, anti-racist, and anti-discriminatory practice
- Flexible approach
- Team player
Desired:
- Best Interests Assessor or willingness to train on Jersey equivalent course
- Approved Mental Health Professional or willingness to train on Jersey equivalent course
- Practice Educator and/or Assessed Supported Year of Employment Assessor qualified
- Good sense of humour
