The salary for this permanent Senior Theatre Practitioner & Surgical First Assistant job is £47,700 per annum.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week – Early and Late shifts with On-Call Participation

Main Duties:

  • Operate and assist in a variety of robotic surgical procedures, with a focus on urology.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team in urological procedures, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Serve as a qualified Surgical First Assistant, ensuring a sterile field and adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient care, prioritising safety, comfort, and positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary surgical team for seamless coordination in the operating theatre.

Requirements of the Senior Theatre Practitioner & Surgical First Assistant:

  • Registered Nurse or ODP with a valid license.
  • Qualification as a Surgical First Assistant (SFA) is essential.
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Theatre Scrub Practitioner with a focus on robotic surgery and urology.
  • Proficiency in robotic surgical procedures, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in urological procedures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
