Pay Rate: £130 - £170 per day

Hours: Full-time. Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day, 5 days a week.

Main Duties of theSEN teacher:

  • Design and deliver lesson plans, providing instruction to both small groups and individual students.

  • Prepare teaching materials, maintain attendance records, and compile progress reports on student performance.

  • Foster student confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning through encouragement and support.

  • Maintain classroom discipline, assess student work, and communicate with parents and caregivers regarding their children's academic progress.

  • Collaborate with specialised education services, medical professionals, counsellors, and psychologists to address students' individual needs.

  • Coordinate educational outings, participate in professional workshops, and facilitate training sessions for colleagues focusing on special educational needs.

Requirements of the SEN teacher:

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, Special Education, or a related field. Some positions may require a master's degree or higher qualification.

  • Experience in developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.

  • Documentation verifying eligibility to work and reside in the UK. Completion of an Enhanced DBS/Children's Barred List check, clean UK Driving licence, Teacher Reference Number (TRN), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
