Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Worker to work full-time in Newport, within the Young Carers Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Project Worker job is £25.00 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Requirements of the Project Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Must be a car driver
- Relevant experience of linking with support agencies and networks for children and young people
- Relevant experience of linking with support agencies and networks for children and young people
- Experience of managing young people's challenging behaviour on an individual basis and in a group setting
- Well-developed numeracy and literacy skills at a level that would enable the post holder to write less routine letters and reports and/or perform moderately
- Knowledge of and experience of working within child protection procedures and responsibilities
- Experience of delivering, or assisting in the delivery of, groups
- Willingness to work flexibly including, evenings, weekends and public holidays
