The salary for this permanent PE Tutor job is negotiable.
Duties:
- Creating effective relationships with external stakeholders for the benefit of our students will be vital in supporting their success moving forward
- Work directly with other colleagues from care and clinical services as well as liaising with parents, other stakeholders, and community partners
Requirements of the PE Tutor:
- Dynamic and enthusiastic Tutor to teach and support our young people aged 18-25 to develop the skills they need to maximise their potential and successfully prepare for adulthood
- A practical and engaging approach will ensure an effective and fun learning experience for students whilst developing skills in a wide range of areas specifically focused on health and wellbeing such as sports, fitness, gym and participating in community activities to promote a healthy lifestyle
- Your ability to be creative and consider opportunities for work experience related to your subject area is crucial
- Have relevant qualifications and experience of teaching groups of SEND students in a college setting with complex needs
- Have a strong understanding of how to work effectively in supporting students to make progress with their personal aspirations and targets as well as meeting EHCP outcomes
- The ability to teach across a range of curriculum areas is advantageous
- The ability to work collaboratively is an essential part of your role as a Tutor
