Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a Maths Teacher to join our client's dynamic team. 

Duties:

  • Responsible for effective teaching and consistent adherence to the school’s aims and policies, assisting students to learn effectively, develop personally, and achieve their individual potential.
  • Contribute to the curriculum development of the department.
  • Implement, provide, and engage pupils in an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and ambitious curriculum accessible to students.
  • Contribute to the school’s provision of extra-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment, ensuring value is added within the school context.
  • Engage in opportunities provided by the school for personal and academic growth.
  • Carry out professional duties as detailed in the Conditions of Service.
  • Assist the Head of Curriculum Area/relevant Deputy Headteacher to ensure that the department/curriculum area provides a range of teaching that complements and supports the school’s aims, priorities, and policies.
  • Assist in the process of curriculum development and change to ensure continued relevance to the needs of pupils, examining and awarding bodies, and the school’s mission, aims, and priorities.

  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
  • Teach to the top and provide appropriate scaffolding and support to enable all students to achieve their potential.

  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities.
  • Uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, within and outside school.
  • Have proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies, and practices of the school in which they teach, maintaining high standards in attendance and punctuality.
  • Understand and always act within the statutory frameworks setting out their professional duties and responsibilities.
  • Attainment of a commendable degree or its equivalent.
  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status.
  • This role is suitable for early career teachers.
