Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Social Worker to work as a Parenting Practitioner based in Ealing.
The pay rate for this locum Parenting Practitioner job is £18 per hour (assignment rate) and has an initial 3-month contract. This role is part time to work 15 hours per week.
Main duties:
- Provide interventions to families referred to the service using evidence based parenting programmes
- Organising and running parenting groups and some individual parenting work
- Provide assessments of parenting needs of families referred using evidence based models and arrange interventions either individually or through group work to meet identified needs in a wide range of community settings
- In conjunction with the SAFE Manager to identify gaps in the provision of parenting services and to arrange services to meet this need including the commissioning of independent providers for group work or individual parenting interventions
- Offer advice, consultation and training, to SAFE team members and other Children's Services staff (as agreed with the SAFE Manager) on a range of parenting strategies
- Develop collaborative relationships with other parenting service providers in the Borough to ensure a range of service provision for families in Ealing
- Work with the Parenting Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to collect and collate information on the effective of parenting interventions offered by the service
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant experience working within a similar role
