Our client is seeking an Advanced Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in the Oncology department in Southwark.

The salary for this role is £49,181 - £60,110 per annum,  depending upon experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy Service, managing a caseload of clients with intricate needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments for each patient.
  • Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of OT services within a designated area, including oversight of defined projects.
  • Design and implement treatment plans using a goal-oriented approach within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and concise treatment records, documenting individual patient treatment plans and progress.
  • Provide leadership for junior staff members through supervision and appraisal.

Qualifications and Skills of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience within an oncology setting in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to departmental and service requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in Neurology/Rehabilitation/Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience in delivering educational sessions to colleagues.
