Salary: £38,607 - £44,814 per annum

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise resources effectively to provide occupational therapy services.
  • Maintain high professional standards within the workload.
  • Develop service provision to promote independence for service users.
  • Carry out duties within Council policy and professional standards.
  • Report to Senior Practitioner OT/Assistant Team Manager and attend meetings.
  • Provide supervision for students and support OT Assistants.
  • Uphold high-quality standards in assessment and service delivery.
  • Implement Safeguarding Adults policy and manage staff through procedures.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are followed.
  • Stay updated on professional practice, legislation, and guidance.
  • Manage care plans, gather information, and enter data into systems.
  • Encourage customer participation in service delivery.
  • Initiate research and recommend best practices.
  • Support workload management systems.
  • Conduct complex assessments and advise on care packages.
  • Maintain key relationships with various stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC.
  • Experience in health or social care settings.
  • Ability to complete assessments and care planning.
  • Proficient in preparing professional reports.
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
  • Experience working with multiple agencies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise needs.
  • Willingness to be flexible with working arrangements.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of strength-based approaches and moving and handling certification.
  • Capable of independently traveling throughout the borough to reach service users' homes and other office locations. Possession of a vehicle and a valid, clean driving license is required.
