Pay Rate: £111.78 - £14.98 per hour (assignment rate)

Contract: Locum, 3-Months

Hours: Ful-time - Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm.

Main Duties:

  • Adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Statutory Welfare Requirements.
  • Follow all safeguarding procedures and protocols.
  • Assist in leading the provision of diverse and engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors, tailored to the needs of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Observe, monitor, and assess children’s learning in alignment with the EYFS framework.
  • Engage in outdoor activities regardless of weather conditions for significant portions of the day.
  • Contribute to planning continuous provision and adapt activities based on children’s interests.
  • Foster children’s independence and individuality within a supportive group environment while collaborating with team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding work-related information.
  • Keep accurate records of children’s progress and activities.
  • Assist in upholding high standards of hygiene for children, equipment, and premises.

Requirements of the Nursery Assistant:

  • Preferably NVQ Level 2 or 3, though not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year working within a nursery environment.
  • Must be able to legally work and reside in the UK.
  • Must provide current DBS check and two references.
