Seven Resourcing are looking for an interim Early Years Entitlements Funding Manager to work in Barnsley.

This role is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £17.12 per hour.

The working hours are Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm. 

The role:

The manage the process of Early Years Entitlement Funding ensuring that the Authority’s statutory duty is met and oversee provider compliance in relation to statutory early years entitlement funding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and operation of policies and procedures relating to the management of early years entitlements funding including payment portal.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to a wide range of audiences including internal and external agencies. This includes advice to be provided in writing and through training sessions.
  • Assist in the interpretation of legislation and the implementation of appropriate procedures and policies and comply with local and national reporting requirements such as completing census reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver reports from legislation and regulations to key partners and other professionals including Headteachers, school staff, nurseries, parents, setting owners and managers, childminders and councillors.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of financial resources including contributing to the setting of budgets, ensuring effective spend in line with the Statutory Guidance and local conditions.
  • Undertake audits of claims submitted by Private, Voluntary and Independent providers.
  • Ensure that all processes are clearly documented.
  • Plan, organise and submit to deadlines, statutory and non-statutory government returns as required.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 4 qualification in a relevant field. 
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. 2 x references. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
