Location: Huntingdon

Pay rate (Assignment rate): £30.98 per hour

Contract Length: 3-Months

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday. 37.5 hours per week.

Duties:

  • Provide specialist evidence based nursing advise to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients/clients and relatives/ carers without supervision
  • Dealing with complex situations and having to take appropriate action in a variety of settings
  • Provide expert advice and education for Healthcare professionals involved in the care of people with diabetes and their carers
  • Acting as a resource for general practice and working to reduce admissions, improve diabetes outcomes and quality of life for people with diabetes
  • Provide advanced clinical practice in the field of diabetes care and ensure the provision of a quality patient focussed diabetes service 

Requirements for the Diabetes Nurse Specialist role:

  • Degree or equivalent in Nursing (RGN qualified) with active NMC Registration (Adult)
  • Recent nursing experience in the UK
  • DBS with adults required
