Sanctuary Health is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 3 Medical Laboratory Assistants to work full time in Suffolk (Mobile Locations).
The pay rate for these locum Medical Laboratory Assistant jobs are £170.76 per day (assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract. Working 4 days on (2 days & 2 nights) and 4 days off. These shifts are long days.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting lab technicians with the receipt and preparation of samples
- Maintaining outstanding worklists
- Data entry
- General housekeeping duties
Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Assistants:
- Must have previous experience in a similar role
- Recent experience within microbiology
- Strong attention to detail and able and willing to perform routine, manual tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to pick skills up quickly and apply in a laboratory-based environment
- Good standard of education, including GCSE Maths or English (or equivalent)
- Scientific A-Level (or equivalent) is desirable
- Experience working in a laboratory setting (academic, clinical or industrial) is desirable
- IT Literacy is desirable
- Any lab experience
- Being a car driver is desirable but not essential
