Pharmacy Assistant Pay Rates: £12 - £15 per hour (assignment rate)

Location: Swansea

Contract Type: Locum, 3-months

Shift Pattern: Full time, some support for OOO/weekends/Bank Holidays required

Duties:

  • Manning the pharmacy reception
  • Assembly and dispensing of items against prescriptions and ward diaries
  • Providing a pharmacy ward top-up service to allocated ward(s)
  • Receiving stock from suppliers within the pharmacy store
  • Assisting in the delivery and collection of pharmacy items to and from wards and departments
  • Participate in rotas for bank holiday, weekend and extended hours working
  • Complying with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, Health Board policies and procedures

Requirements of the Pharmacy Assistants:

  • GPHC Registration
  • Previous experience within a UK based Pharmacy setting
  • Knowledge of procedures for pharmacy area, attained through on the job training, short course, and experience to Vocational Level 3
