Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a Head of Therapies for a renowned organisation based in Lancashire. As a leading charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with brain injuries across the UK, our client operates assessment centers, rehabilitation units, and hospitals providing expert neurorehabilitation services. Purpose:

The Head of Therapies will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and governance of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary therapy service. This includes assessing, implementing, and evaluating personalised rehabilitation and care programs as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Leadership and effective management of the therapies team, including recruitment, appraisal, and performance management, are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the therapy team.
  • Manage complex caseloads to provide specialist treatment programs tailored to individual needs and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and ethics, including Standards of Care.
  • Implement evidence-based practice to deliver effective service provision and positive outcomes.
  • Maintain equipment provision and maintenance within available resources.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous development within the team and across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support organisational strategies.

About You:

  • BSc degree level qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
  • Management degree or equivalent experience.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
  • Post-registration training in a relevant specialty.
  • Demonstrable experience in evidence-based practice and outcome measures.
  • Proficiency in managing a team and handling performance-related issues.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation impacting current practice.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and motivate others.
