Sanctuary are currently seeking a Commissioning Manager to work within Nottingham City Council. This is a full time position of 37 hours, and we are paying £600 per dayfor this role.

The role:

To lead on and co-ordinate the development and delivery of effective commissioning which will deliver an increased emphasis on early intervention, promote social inclusion and independence, respond flexibly to user preference and choice, and achieve a best value approach to improving outcomes for children and vulnerable adults. To drive the development of a creative, dynamic marketplace, building market analysis into the commissioning process, to enable the identification of market development priorities. gathering market intelligence, market structuring and market intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on all aspects of the commissioning agenda and implement agreed commissioning activity as directed by the Director of Commissioning and Partnerships.
  • Provide leadership to the implementation of Nottingham City Council’s Commissioning Strategies.
  • Work with the Director of Commissioning and Partnerships to analyse information on needs, developing proposals for realigning current spend which takes account of demographic trends, future demands, available funding, locally and nationally determined priorities and judges the ability of current service models to meet the needs and aspirations of the City.
  • Lead on the reshaping and recommissioning of services in line with the principles within the Commissioning Strategy and influence and enable co-production with people, senior leaders, partners, and other key stakeholders, including those supporting the Integrated Care System (ICS), the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) and the Place-Based Partnership to ensure achievement of commissioning outcomes.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
