Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a permanent vacancy for a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to work in Borehamwood.
The salary for this permanent Clinical Psychologist job is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
Duties:
- Provide care to men and women with mental health conditions in a modern and purpose-built hospital with low and medium secure environments
- Individual and group interventions
- Diagnostic and cognitive assessments
- MDT working
- Risk assessments
- Facilitate staff reflective practice sessions
- Designing and delivering training to the MDT, including Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists
- Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensure that the service users are fully engaged in their care pathway
- Support clinical team working, including both direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmes
- Support the clinical team and area of service in developing new initiatives and ways of working
- Work with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways for service users
- Supervise Assistant Psychologists, as directed by the Lead Psychologist
Requirements of the Clinical/Forensic Psychologist:
- Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society
- British Psychological Society or a recognised training body qualification
- Recent experience with supporting people with complex mental health needs
- Ability to carry a service user’s caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist clinical/forensic psychological treatments to support their care plans
- Experience of working with people with complex mental health needs
- Experience using CBT skills to address a range of clinical issues
- Clinical/Forensic experience
