Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Children's Social Care Commissioner to work full-time based in Haringey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Children Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Children's Social Care Commissioner job is £50,826 to £53,928 per annum.
Summary:
- As Children's Social Care Commissioner, you will lead on the commissioning of services to support Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Need, working closely with others to ensure that there is the effective deployment of resources to meet needs.
- You will be contributing to strategic and service planning across children's service, whilst working alongside other services, external partners, children, young people and families to determine needs, commissioning priorities and resource allocation.
Requirements of the Children's Social Care Commissioner:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
- Registered on Social Work England.
- You will be a dynamic individual with a passion for delivering good outcomes for children and young people.
- You will have the knowledge, expertise and interpersonal skills to shape the commissioning function for children's social care and confidently support the Head of Service, Assistant Director and Director of Children's Services in developing an improved commissioning function for children's social care.
- You will have a good understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks relating to the commissioning of services; and will have the ability to work as a member of a team.
- Able to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends when required.
