Sanctuary Social Care has a new opportunity for a Children's Home Manager/Level 5 Registered Manager to join a new Therapeutic Care Project in partnership with Innovate Services.

This will have a probably start date of September and will be a 12-month fixed contract but could be extended.

You will receive a holiday package of 28 days per year excluding Bank Holidays.

Due to the nature of the position, you must be flexible to meet urgent work needs as they arise. This will inevitably entail some work outside normal office hours.

As you will be joining during the very beginning of the new project, you will also have a pivotal role in the recruitment of further positions such as the Deputy Manager and Residential Childcare Workers where applicable.

You will be given comprehensive mentoring, support and a thorough induction as well as ongoing training and development.

Duties of the Level 5 Registered Manager include:

  • Delivering services which are fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements particularly The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
  • Responsible for the effective development and delivery of high-quality residential services to children young people and their families which improve their outcomes.
  • Leadership and management of a residential team, ensuring that team members work effectively with children, young people, families and all internal professionals and partner agency staff.
  • To ensure that all services are planned and delivered in a way that maximises participation and reflects children's rights in relation to services being provided.

Requirements of the Children's Home Manager/ Level 5 Registered Manager include:

  • Have at least 3 years management experience within a residential children's home
  • Hold NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management
  • Have experience of working with adolescents

Other Requirements:

Successful applicants will be subject to 'registered managers' process and interviews with OFSTED. Successful applicants will be expected to report a Senior Management Team and attend any relevant meetings in their capacity as the registered manager.
