Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to take on a new locum opportunity based in Kendal.
Location: Kendal
Contract Type: Locum, 3-month contract
Pay Rate: £30 - £35 per hour (assignment rate)
Shift Pattern: This role is full time hours (Monday - Friday, 09:00 am - 17:00 pm). Part time will be considered.
Duties:
- Work independently and also as part of a CAMHS team
- Provide comprehensive mental health assessments, including clinical risk assessment and management
- Provide therapeutic interventions utilising a range of evidence based clinical skills geared to the individual/family needs
- Provide and manage specialised clinical therapeutic interventions and networks for children, young people and families presenting with complex and highly complex mental health needs referred to specialist tier 3 service
- Provide ongoing support liaison and case management, of children and families of young people who are placed in specialist tier 4 provision
- Provide specialist consultation/supervision to agencies and departments external to CAMHS particularly the management of high risk/complex cases
- Be part of the duty rota
- Attending A&E/ the Children’s ward as required for mental health assessments and/or liaison with appropriate agencies when mental health act assessments indicated and supporting the duty inbox
Requirements of the CAMHS Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Valid NMC Registration
- Have previous CAMHS experience
