Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to take on a new locum opportunity based in Rotherham. Location: Rotherham. This role is office-based. Contract Type: Locum, minimum 6-month contract Pay Rate: £26 per hour (assignment rate - based on experience) Shift Pattern: Both part time & full time applicants will be considered. Primarily this is a 09:00 am - 17:00 pm, Monday - Friday service. Duties: Work with a complex clinical caseload of young people requiring CAMHS intervention utilising age appropriate interventions and in-line with NICE Guidelines Provide consultation and advice to children’s services across Rotherham for children and young people, who have potential mental health difficulties Work with other clinicians, in providing effective, evidence based therapeutic care Lead or support other clinician’s with the delivery and development of pathways Provide clinical supervision to junior members of staff , ensuring that they are complying with standards of care, record keeping, and care planning Be involved, with other clinicians, in the development and delivery of group sessions and workshops to meet the needs of children, young people, parents/carers and professionals Undertake comprehensive assessments of children suspected of having mental health needs and act as a contact point for professionals & families Provide clinical supervision to staff working within the service area Undertake safeguarding referrals when disclosures are made and to ensure this is followed up Work in partnership with external agencies thus ensuring that the needs of service users and carers are addressed in a proactive manner Work collaboratively with statuary & voluntary services to create a seamless transition process into and through the service Provide evidence based mental health assessment and intervention to Children and Young People involved with the Service Work in a range of settings in the community, without direct supervision and managing own standards of practice Maintain accurate documentation via written and electronic patient case notes and the I.T system Work as a fully integrated member of the multi-professional team which will include attending regular team meetings as necessary Work in a collaborative and co-operative manner with other healthcare professionals, designated senior leads in schools, young people and their families Maintain clinical competence to enable safe practice Maintain theoretical and practical knowledge Make decisions that are based on best practice and in-line with NICE Guidelines thus enabling the young person and family to address their identified needs in a manner that minimises their stay within service Requirements of the CAMHS Practitioner: Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse Valid NMC Registration Be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to the diverse and demanding nature of this post Be able to communicate highly complex, sensitive information where agreement and co-operation is required Contact: This Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner job is advertised by Alex West; if you are interested in this position please click above to apply now.
