The salary for this permanent Acute Consultant Psychiatrist job is £62,278 - £93,417 per annum.

Duties:
- Be responsible for up to 8 patients on one of the acute wards and provide cross-cover to the other wards
- Fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients supervising the process of referral and admission including contribution to the pre-admission assessments
Requirements of the Acute Consultant Psychiatrist:
- Passionate about delivering first class acute psychiatric care
- Must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties
- Have experience at consultant level within the NHS
- Be an excellent team player keen to participate in a multi disciplinary approach to assessment with a keen interest in developing services within a forward thinking transitional environment
- Continue to hold a registration with the GMC including being on the special register for psychiatry
- Willing to undertake a DBS check
