The salary for this permanent Consultant Psychiatrist job is £62,278 - £93,471 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Fulfill the role of Responsible Clinician for patients, overseeing the referral and admission process, and contributing to pre-admission assessments
  • Serve as a key member of an established multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing person-centric care and treatment programs for patients
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychiatric care
  • Demonstrate a passion for delivering first-class psychiatric care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans
  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate and adjust treatment strategies as needed
  • Participate in clinical reviews and case conferences to ensure comprehensive care coordination
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff members
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
  • Stay abreast of latest developments in psychiatric treatment modalities and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care
  • Foster a therapeutic environment conducive to patient recovery and well-being
  • Actively engage in continuous professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge

Requirements of the Consultant Psychiatrist:

  • Completion of CCST/CCT or equivalent in relevant psychiatry specialties
  • Demonstrated experience in providing care within inpatient settings for individuals with complex mental health issues
  • Previous consultancy-level involvement in Eating Disorder Services
  • Maintaining registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), including being on the special register for psychiatry
