anctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse to fill a full-time role in Oxford. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of substance misuse nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Substance Misuse Nurse role is £26 per hour (LTD) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To be responsible for the clinical management of detoxification for alcohol, opiates and other drugs in a residential therapeutic setting
- To deliver care within a best practice clinical governance framework, supported by a General Practitioner specialist in Substance Misuse and Medical Director and reporting to the Service Manager
- To provide clinical support and advice to the team, and jointly assess and manage care for service users
- To support service users affected by drug and alcohol use to achieve and sustain their recovery, optimising health and well-being
- The development, implementation and evaluation of clinical care for service users with substance misuse issues
Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse:
- NMC registration
- Degree or equivalent in nursing (general or mental health)
- Two years experience within the substance misuse/drugs/addictions field
