Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber to fill a full-time role in Lancashire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Substance Misuse Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this Non-Medical Prescriber role is negotiable with the client and this role is an initial 2-month contract.
Duties:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment / interventions and care for service users.
- Clinically assess service user needs and plan clinical care accordingly.
- Diagnose and manage on an individual need's basis, integrating both drug and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan, in conjunction with the Recovery Coordinator.
- Identify and assess suitability of service users for in-patient alcohol and opioid detoxification as appropriate.
- Proactively review and manage treatment plans of the service user.
Requirements of the Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing/NMP
- Current NMC registration (RGN/RMN)
- Significant experience as a Non-Medical Prescriber
- A nurse with extensive experience of caseload work with Drug and Alcohol misusers.
- Experience of working clients with physical health and mental health issues alongside their substance use.
