Main Duties:
- To be clinically responsible for the management of an identified adult caseload; to assess and review level of need and to organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and time management principles
- To undertake comprehensive assessment of swallowing and communication needs, using an appropriate mix of standardised assessments, informal assessment and clinical observation skills
- To explain & discuss treatment options and develop an agreed individualised, outcome-focussed treatment plan with the stroke survivor and their family / carers using clinical knowledge and sound clinical reasoning skills
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration
- Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
