Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in an Older People Disability Team in Okehampton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £31 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
The candidate needs to have Community experience in working with vulnerable older people and have a social work qualification.
- Dealing with referrals for a range of complex work
- Carrying out assessments for service user who require residential or nursing home placements
- Working with service users who are coming to terms with significant life change
- Carrying out initial assessments of older adult's care needs
- Presenting complex cases to the Multi-Disciplinary Team
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adult Services.
- Minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience
- Experience in Learning Disabilities & Physical Disabilities
