Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Newham, within the SGO and Connected Persons Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £32 - £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- Hold professional responsibility for a case load of statutory child care cases
- Ensure that every child/young person has a smart plan that ensures review and evaluation of outcomes
- Contribute to improving the resilience and independence of Newham's children, young people and their families
- Ensure each child's personal record is maintained within the Social Work England required standards
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Ideal to have a background in systemic practice or with an interest in developing their knowledge within this area.
- Must be confident with viabilities, SGO assessments and reg 24s
