Duties of the Social Worker:
- Conducting assessments to determine the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child and family.
- Providing emotional support and counselling to children and their families.
- Collaborating with other professionals, including healthcare providers and educators, to ensure comprehensive support for children with disabilities.
- Advocating for the rights and best interests of children with disabilities within the community and with relevant agencies.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, or an equivalent qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England
- Proven statutory UK experience in Children social work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about best practices in social work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability
- Must have previous experience working with Child Protection, Court Experience and PLO's
