Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to work based in Wigan, within the Children in Need Team.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £36 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Attend Child in Need planning meetings, put Child in need plans in place, and review and monitor child in need care plans in line with legislation.
- Identify resources or service required to achieve the planned outcomes within agreed timescales, identify developmental needs of the child in need, and assess whether outcomes have been achieved sufficiently.
- Keep up to date case recordings.
- Work with children and families under supervision orders.
- Carry out 6 weekly visits and keeping up to date records of these visits, and carry out both announced and unannounced visits.
- Ensure child protection and looked after children processes are in place.
- Seek legal advice in relation to the extension of supervision orders or care orders.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Recent post-qualifying experience within frontline children’s social work.
